Frequently Asked Questions

Each hiring manager selects finalists based on their desired qualifications. Historically, rising juniors and above in the following degree programs are hired by the University program.

Internship recruiting season at Intuitive spans through Fall, Winter and Spring. We ensure that all opportunities are posted on the career site, and every applicant is assessed against the unique relevant qualifications for each internship role. Every hiring team proceeds to interviews at different points in the recruiting season, so if you have not heard back, your application is still in consideration.

To be eligible for the program students must meet both of the following requirements.

  • Concurrently enrolled and returning to an accredited degree seeking academic program after the internship or Co-op
  • Authorized to work in the country the role is advertised in.

We have a wide variety of internship and co-op opportunities at varying levels within engineering, design, research, IT, human resources, finance and marketing.

The majority of our roles are based at our headquarters in Sunnyvale, CA. Over half of our Sunnyvale interns relocate for the summer program! We also hire a small volume of interns and Co-ops in our satellite offices across the US, Mexico, and Europe.

Some processes vary by job level, but generally, you can expect the following process.

  1. Apply - Search available positions and once you’ve identified a match, submit your completed application online.
  2. Evaluate - Once you’ve applied, you will be screened for the basic qualifications.
  3. Phone Interview - The Hiring Manager reviews applicants and reaches out directly to students to conduct a phone interview
  4. Zoom Interview - If you advance to the next round; an official interview will be scheduled with you and others from the hiring team.
  5. Offer - The most qualified candidate will be selected and a job offer will be extended. You will be asked to complete a background check prior to your start date.

Interns must be available 40 hours per week for 10-12 weeks beginning in May or June.

Absolutely!

Yes, we offer relocation for eligible students as well as a housing allowance

The majority of the roles are for our summer intern program (May-August). We also have co-ops at different times throughout the year, so be sure to reference the time frame in the job posting.

Recruiting begins in early fall of the year prior. Students can apply by visiting Intuitive's Students and University Career Page.

We are school agnostic, so we primarily focus on candidate applications.
