Job Description
Primary Function of Position:
The Director, Workday Solutions is responsible for leading the product strategy, roadmap execution, and continuous improvement of Workday-based HR technology with an AI-native approach that supports employees, managers, and the business across the entire employee lifecycle.
Reporting to the Sr. Director, People Technology & Digital Employee Experience, this leader serves as the primary technology partner for Workday Solutions across Core HCM, Total Rewards, Talent Management, Time and Absence Management etc. embedding AI and automation natively within Workday to elevate employee experience, manager experience, and business operations.
This role works in close partnership with HR Executives, Centers of Excellence (COEs), HR Business Leaders, and IT leadership to deliver scalable, intelligent, and consumer-grade experiences with modern tools, automation, and AI-assisted workflows built on the Workday platform.
The successful candidate is a product-minded HR technology leader who combines employee-centric design, systems expertise, and AI innovation to create modern, seamless, and intelligent HR experiences — translating business needs into scalable Workday solutions and building strong partnerships to deliver measurable employee, manager, and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilitie
Workday Product Strategy & Leadership
· Own the vision, roadmap, and strategic direction for core Workday HR technologies, including Core HCM, Total Rewards, Talent Management, Time and Absence Management, Operational Reporting.
· Collaborate on a long-term technology strategy in sync with Intuitive’s business growth goals and people priorities; provide input on the HR technology roadmap.
· Translate business needs into scalable Workday solutions that improve employee, manager, and business outcomes.
Embedded AI & Automation
· Champion new ways AI and automation can be embedded natively within Workday to advance HR through process efficiency, intelligent workflows, and self-service.
· Lead the evaluation and adoption of Workday AI capabilities (e.g., Workday Illuminate, AI-powered skills and talent insights, intelligent automation) to elevate employee experience, manager experience, and business operations.
· Ensure AI and automation solutions align with governance, compliance, data security, privacy, and responsible AI standards.
Employee & Manager Experience
· Lead the evolution of employee and manager self-service capabilities through automation, AI-powered insights, and guided workflows within Workday.
· Drive adoption of AI-enabled solutions that improve service effectiveness, increase self-service resolution, and reduce manual effort for both employees and managers.
· Partner with internal employee support and project management teams on process documentation, communication, and training.
Solutions Delivery & Governance
· Build and execute detailed implementation plans, including discovery, design, QA/testing, deployment, and support.
· Establish effective intake, prioritization, and governance frameworks for HR technology investments and enhancements.
· Act as a point of escalation for system challenges and support technical troubleshooting with vendors and technology partners.
· Ensure data accuracy, security, and privacy across HR systems and solutions.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
· Act as a key liaison between internal customers, technical resources, and vendors.
· Manage multiple vendor relationships and drive key product enhancements on behalf of Intuitive.
· Serve as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders, influencing decisions through data, collaboration, and measurable outcomes.
Analytics, Adoption & Continuous Improvement
· Leverage data and employee/manager insights to drive continuous improvement of Workday business processes and AI-enabled services.
· Monitor and improve key performance indicators, including employee and manager satisfaction, self-service adoption, program efficiencies.
· Communicate progress, outcomes, and business value to HR and executive leadership.
Leadership & Team Development
· Lead a team of solution architects and analysts ensuring they receive the development and coaching needed to succeed and thrive in their careers.
· Lead, mentor, and coach the team through complex decision-making on technology solutions while delivering on the HR technology roadmap.
· Foster a customer-centric culture focused on employee and manager experience, innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
· Promote agile ways of working and strong cross-functional partnerships across HR, Technology, and business teams.
· Monitor and drive the priorities and workload of the overall team.
Qualifications
Skills, Experience, Education & Training
Minimum Qualifications:
· Minimum 10+ years of HR technology project implementation experience with proven results in creating technical strategies, developing business requirements, deploying applicable technologies, and business process re-engineering.
· Minimum 5+ years developing and coaching technical or operational teams.
· Minimum bachelor’s degree in technology, business, or a related technical field.
· Deep expertise in Workday, including Core HCM, Total Rewards, Talent Management, Time and Absence, and Reporting capabilities.
· Experience embedding AI and automation capabilities natively within Workday to improve employee experience, manager experience, and business operations.
· Experience with a global/international company with employee populations across multiple regions.
· Strong customer orientation and superb communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with technical, functional, and executive audiences; strong personal and technical influencing skills.
· Strong collaborator who can engage and influence partners across the company; interacts frequently with internal and external senior-level leadership.
· Process orientation and technical project management skills; experience with multiple project methodologies, including Agile/iterative development, a plus.
· Familiarity with US and global data privacy laws, GDPR, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
· MBA preferred.
· Experience with Generative AI, conversational AI, AI-powered search, and intelligent workflow/automation capabilities.
· Experience with additional HR technologies including ServiceNow, SmartRecruiters.
· Experience using Workday Extend to build custom solutions aligned to company’s strategy.
· Experience with process development in the HR technology space or custom application development.
· Comfortable operating in fast-changing environments and creating clarity out of ambiguity.
**Please note this position requires being onsite 3 days per week in either our Sunnyvale, CA or Peachtree Corners, GA office.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target compensation ranges are listed.
Base Compensation Range Region 1: $216.000 USD - $324.000 USD
Base Compensation Range Region 2: $183.600 USD - $275.400 USD
