Job Description
Primary Function of Position:
This role will involve mastering the assembly of complex robotic equipment and translating expertise to team members who will build the products. This is a hands on position, intend for team members who like to build strong self direct teams.
Qualifying and servicing ISI's internally owned functional test fixtures. Responsibilities will include software updates, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration. The role requires technical expertise, experience, and the ability to make independent decisions. The candidate should demonstrate competency to perform the duties of a Engineering Technician. Additionally, this person is to assemble a variety of products, meeting quality and productivity goals, within a manufacturing work environment. Candidates must be highly motivated with a strong sense of shared responsibility as well as a commitment to high product quality. Successful candidate will have both the technical depth to resolve complex design and manufacturing issues as well as the ability to work in an interdisciplinary team to troubleshoot higher level system issues. A strong sense of shared responsibility and shared reward is required as well as a commitment to high product quality.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Build product to meet production needs.
Train team members to build product, and troubleshoot.
Conduct rework of product.
Perform IQOQ on operation and engineering-owned fixtures.
Coordinate qualification activities with operations/lab owners to ensure that each fixture is up to date and in good working order.
Perform quick triage of the issues and recommend the best action to limit downtime.
Perform simple reworks on the spot (cable crimping, soldering components, tapping threads, cleaning optics, adjusting alignments, etc.).
Document all activities in support of our formal records.
Order parts and assemble/bring up duplicate fixtures for operation.
Assist or execute engineering-level tests and collect data to support the design of experiment activities or characterize an assembly.
Assist with parts order, build, and modification of development fixtures for evaluation.
Generate or assist in the implementation of Engineering Change orders.
Follows all corporate safety, SOP, DOP procedures, and regulations.
Understand problems, areas of risk, and areas for improvement within the work unit, including the processes and procedures.
Perform other engineering technician duties as needed.
A typical work week may include design support, hands-on assembly, soldering, operating test machines, and working in a machine shop.
Work with design engineers to assembly, modify, and test designs.
Work with manufacturing teams regarding building new product
Work with test engineers regarding testing product.
Qualifications
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:
Minimum BSME Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics engineering.
Experience with enterprise software (e.g. Agile document control, Confluence, Polarion, Windchill, etc)
Prior experience working with PLM systems (Agile preferred), SAP applications, including ECO creation, origination of equipment specification, test protocols, BOM, and work instructions.
Excellent understanding of tolerance analysis and statistical methods. Fluency in ASME Y14.5 GD&T and tolerance stack analysis
MSME (or equivalent) with minimum 3 plus years prior experience.
Structured Problem Solving. Rational thinking and root cause analysis capability.
Experience working in a medical device or other regulated quality systems.
Excellent dexterity to build complex product with high degree on accuracy.

Compensation will be based primarily on the job level at which the role is filled and the
candidate’s qualifications, consistent with applicable law.
We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target compensation ranges are listed.
Base Compensation Range Region 1: $27 USD - $37 USD
Base Compensation Range Region 2: $23 USD - $31 USD
