Engineering Landing

Company Description

It started with a simple idea: what if surgery could be less invasive and recovery less painful? Nearly 30 years later, that question still fuels everything we do at Intuitive. As a global leader in robotic-assisted surgery and minimally invasive care, our technologies—like the da Vinci surgical system and Ion—have transformed how care is delivered for millions of patients worldwide.

We’re a team of engineers, clinicians, and innovators united by one purpose: to make surgery smarter, safer, and more human. Every day, our work helps care teams perform with greater precision and patients recover faster, improving outcomes around the world.

The problems we solve demand creativity, rigor, and collaboration. The work is challenging, but deeply meaningful—because every improvement we make has the potential to change a life.

If you’re ready to contribute to something bigger than yourself and help transform the future of healthcare, you’ll find your purpose here.

Job Description

Primary Function of Position

The Sr Learning Product Analyst supports the ongoing development, enhancement, and operation of the organization’s learning products, technologies, and platforms, including learning management systems (LMS), learning experience platforms, digital learning tools, and related integrations. This role combines product management, business analysis, technical problem-solving, and practical knowledge of enterprise learning technologies to help deliver scalable solutions that meet learner, business, and operational needs.

The position works closely with product management, engineering, support teams, and learning partners to gather and clarify needs, translate them into well-defined requirements and user stories, and support enhancements through testing, release, and adoption. The Sr Learning Product Analyst also helps evaluate incoming requests, present recommendations to product governance teams, investigate complex learning product and platform issues, and coordinate cross-functional resolution.

Essential Job Duties

  • Partner with product management to gather, analyze, and translate business, learner, and system needs into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and supporting documentation.
  • Develop a strong functional and technical understanding of learning products, technologies, and platforms, including learner access, content delivery, learning pathways, assessments, credentials, permissions, notifications, analytics, and integrations, as applicable.
  • Use knowledge of learning technology administration and configuration to evaluate requests, investigate issues, validate expected behavior, and recommend sustainable solutions without serving as the primary administrator for each platform.
  • Prepare and present enhancement requests, business needs, platform issues, solution options, and recommendations to product governance and core team stakeholders.
  • Work directly with learning partners to understand their goals, clarify requirements, assess platform capabilities, and guide requests toward appropriate product, configuration, process, or support solutions.
  • Partner with product management, engineering, IT, and other technical teams to refine requirements and support the delivery of out-of-the-box and custom functionality across learning products and platforms.
  • Analyze the impact of proposed design and configuration decisions, including implications for learner experience, business processes, integrations, reporting, interoperability, maintainability, and future upgrades.
  • Support product backlog management, refinement, prioritization, release planning, and delivery tracking in partnership with product management and engineering.
  • Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing plans, test scenarios, and test scripts, and coordinate business validation of new functionality, fixes, and learning product and platform changes.
  • Investigate complex learning technology issues, identify potential root causes, document findings, and coordinate with support, engineering, IT, product management, and technology providers, as appropriate, through resolution.
  • Provide leadership for learning product and platform support activities by assisting with triage, prioritization, escalation, stakeholder communication, and coordination of cross-functional resolution.
  • Identify recurring support issues and recommend product, platform, process, training, or documentation improvements that reduce support demand and improve the user experience.
  • Support go-live planning, release communications, change management, post-release validation, and stabilization activities.
  • Facilitate or participate in cross-functional meetings, providing clear status updates, recommendations, decisions needed, risks, dependencies, and next steps.
  • Research learning products, technologies, and platforms, including LMS capabilities and emerging digital learning tools, and industry practices to recommend practical improvements to the learning technology ecosystem.
  • Exercise independent judgment and strong problem-solving skills while escalating significant product, technical, compliance, or operational risks appropriately.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Working knowledge of enterprise learning products, technologies, or platforms, such as learning management systems, learning experience platforms, content authoring tools, assessment solutions, or digital learning applications, including common configuration and administration activities.
  • Experience performing junior product management, product analyst, business analyst, systems analyst, or similar responsibilities.
  • Ability to translate business and user needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and test scenarios.
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand system behavior, integrations, data flows, configuration options, and dependencies.
  • Experience working with product management, engineering, IT, support teams, and business stakeholders in an Agile or iterative delivery environment.
  • Ability to investigate learning product and platform issues, document findings, distinguish configuration, integration, or process issues from product defects, and coordinate resolution across teams.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, including the ability to present needs, recommendations, risks, and status updates to cross-functional governance teams.
  • Strong relationship-management skills and demonstrated ability to work directly with learning, training, or business partners
  • Experience supporting UAT, release readiness, go-live activities, and post-release validation.
  • Foundational knowledge of AI assistants and agents as well as evolving AI trends
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make technical information understandable to nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow work through completion.
  • Experience supporting enterprise systems in a medical-device, healthcare, or other regulated environment is preferred.

Required Education and Training

  • Three or more years of experience with enterprise learning products, technologies, or platforms, including exposure to configuration, troubleshooting, testing, reporting, integrations, or administration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in product management, business, information systems, learning technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ideally 3 years of relevant experience in product analysis, product management, business analysis, systems support, learning technology, or enterprise applications.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid; 3 days in office, 2 days remote per week

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with one or more learning technologies, such as Totara or other LMS platforms, learning experience platforms, content authoring and management tools, assessment or credentialing solutions, learning analytics, or simulation and digital learning applications.
  • Familiarity with Agile product delivery, backlog refinement, user-story development, acceptance criteria, and release planning.
  • Experience partnering with learning organizations or supporting enterprise learning products, technologies, or platforms.
  • Familiarity with APIs, data integrations, identity management, system permissions, and reporting concepts.
  • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or a comparable product and development work-management platform.
  • Knowledge of interoperability across learning technologies, including content standards, data exchange, and the integration of complementary learning tools.
