Job Description
Primary Function of Position:

We are seeking an experienced communications professional to lead the development and execution of internal and external executive communications initiatives for the Europe region. This role will serve as a trusted communications partner to senior European leadership, shaping and delivering impactful executive narratives across internal and external audiences.
This position requires a unique blend of strategic leadership and hands‑on execution, working closely with a highly collaborative, matrixed international communications team, and reporting into the Director European Marketing Operations & Communication with a dotted line to the Director, Corporate Communication.
The ideal candidate brings excellent judgment, exceptional writing and presentation skills, a strong bias toward action, and the ability to navigate complexity across countries, cultures, and time zones.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute executive communication strategies that support key business priorities and leadership initiatives across Europe.
- Partner with senior executives to create impactful communications, including presentations, speeches, leadership messages, and strategic narratives.
- Adapt global messaging for European audiences, ensuring relevance across diverse cultural, business, and regulatory environments.
- Lead executive communication projects from concept to delivery, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced international environment.
- Support key leadership meetings, executive events, and the European Annual Commercial Meeting (ACM), including speaker preparation and messaging alignment.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Communications, Public Affairs, and business teams to deliver consistent, strategic messaging.
- Support leadership meetings, executive forums, and strategic events through messaging development, speaker preparation, and communication planning.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and act as a trusted communications advisor to senior leadership.
- Measure communication effectiveness and leverage insights and analytics to continuously optimize engagement, alignment, and impact.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- University degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field, combined with significant experience (6+ years) in executive, corporate, internal, or strategic communications within a global, matrixed organization.
- Proven experience in executive, corporate, internal, or strategic communications within a global organization.
- Experience advising senior leaders and working across European markets and cultures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into compelling messages and presentations.
- Excellent stakeholder management, project management, and organizational skills.
- Strategic, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in AI tools and digital communication platforms.
- Healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industry experience is a plus.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
