Job Description
Primary Function of the Position
The Sr. Learning Experience Designer is responsible for all phases of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE) of learning programs and deliverables. Sr. Learning Experience Designers are also responsible for managing large cross-departmental projects and strategic initiatives, driving process improvement, and establishing KPIs.
Essential Job Duties
Upon onboarding and completing required qualifications, the Sr. Learning Experience Designer will:
- Analyze learner journeys and personas based on pre-defined Technology Training Pathways to craft measurable learning objectives for a new product, technology, or application
- Collaborate with internal and cross-functional teams to research, design, and validate scalable learning solutions that optimize learning experience and outcomes
- Lead complex, cross-functional projects by developing comprehensive plans, coordinating multiple workstreams, and driving seamless execution with limited supervision
- Partner with the multimedia team to define and implement media strategies that enhance learning
- Proactively align with upstream and downstream stakeholders on critical path activities including resources, timelines, and execution plans
- Evaluate end-to-end learner experiences using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to drive optimization of learner and business outcomes
- Define success metrics and establish baselines for projects, programs, and strategic initiatives
- Scale programs by qualifying internal experts to support customer education during product and procedure launches
- Design and test learning curricula in Human Factors usability evaluations
- Deliver lab-based skills training for physicians and care teams as needed
- Create, manage, validate, and launch technology training protocols, as needed
- Support onboarding and mentor Learning Content Specialists and Learning Content Designers
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- 6-8 yrs. relevant professional experience
- Ability to sign-off on applicable technical and/or clinical content
- Experience designing and developing eLearning, instructor-led training, assessments, and blended learning solutions
- Delivery of training in a professional or classroom setting
- Demonstrated application of adult learning theory, analysis tools and process, evaluation tools and models, assessment best practices, and learning objective construction
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience working and collaborating with SMEs and stakeholders to create robust content solutions
- Ability to self-manage and prioritize multiple development projects and deadlines, and adapt to project changes
- Ability to distill complex problems into clear and simple solutions by analyzing a variety of factors
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work with instructional design processes, tools, and templates
- Ability to define and document processes
- Ability to foster and create strong working relationships
- Ability to coach and provide feedback
- Excellent attention to detail
- Must provide work samples and/or portfolio
Required Education and Training
- Minimum college degree required (Instructional Design, Education or Science/Engineering degree preferred)
- Software proficiency:
- MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Smartsheet or equivalent project management tool
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in biotech or medical device organization preferred
- Curriculum Development or Instructional Design/Technology master’s degree preferred

Compensation will be based primarily on the job level at which the role is filled and the
candidate’s qualifications, consistent with applicable law.
We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target compensation ranges are listed.
Base Compensation Range Region 1: $133 200 USD - $191 600 USD
Base Compensation Range Region 2: $113 200 USD - $162 900 USD
Shift: Day
Workplace Type: Set Schedule - This job will be onsite weekly, the percentage of onsite work will be defined by the leader.
