Position’s Objective & Summary:
This role will have two primary functions: 1) to drive the Global Finance and FSO (Commercial Finance & Sales Operations) data architecture in partnership with the Corporate EDW team, and 2) provide analytical services to the Corporate Finance function. A successful candidate will have strong technical skills, be highly analytical, results-oriented with a passion for healthcare and improving patient outcomes.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Develop a multi-year EDW roadmap with the Corporate EDW team to serve the 3i (insights, influence, impact) and productivity goals of the Global Finance and FSO organization• Provide regular oversight and prioritization of requests from the Global Finance and FSO organization to the Corporate EDW team• Establish and provide data steward services to improve master data integrity and therefore significantly reduce ongoing effort to reconcile between systems (SAP, Hyperion, EDW)• Work in partnership with the Analytics training manager and FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) / FSO leadership to provide impactful tips, training, and tools to progress the organization’s analytical capabilities and productivity• Work in partnership with IT system owners, EDW data architecture owners, and FI business process owners to lead the planning, prioritization, and alignment on critical analytics initiatives.• Plays critical role during project execution phases to ensure proper communication across Finance owners and updates to training and tools
Qualifications• Provide analytical services and tools to the Corporate Finance functions to improve insights and improve productivity• Shepherd the process of maturing reporting prototypes and ad-hoc analyses into robust production ready data products including but not limited to oversight into Finance systems enhancements, business process alignment, and underlying data architecture work streams.• Support the Finance Systems team in blueprinting of systems implementations to ensure that data architecture needs are fully considered up front• Support the FP&A and FSO teams in blueprinting of systems implementations to ensure that data architecture needs are fully considered up front• Provide additional ad hoc analytics capacity to serve the CFO and SVP of Finance
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred).• 7+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, business analytics, and systems implementations• Desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced organization.• Executive-level verbal and written communication skills.• Demonstrated analytically-driven problem solving ability.• Intellectual curiosity and ability to navigate ambiguous circumstances.• Profound analytical and critical thinking skills.• Expert financial and business modeling experience.• Ability to present, articulate, and defend analyses, diplomatically, on a routine basis.• Ability to effectively collaborate and synthesize a wide set of inputs and requests• Highly structured and organized
