Production Planner

Description

Primary Function of Position:

Responsible for the overall status of order fulfillment and managing inventory levels throughout the manufacturing process. This Position offers opportunity to provide leadership in implementing a demand pull system for our medical accessory product line.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  •  Plans, schedules, coordinates and monitors final approval of products through the complete production cycle
  • Works from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements. Coordinates production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedule
  • Support production activities and ensure maximum line up-time
  • Take steps necessary to achieve established Planning metrics
  • Determine and manage potential line shortages by analyzing build schedules, shortage reports, on hand inventory reports and supplier delivery information
  • Drive physical inventory and cycle count reconciliation and root cause analysis
  •  Schedule sales order shipments based on material availability and capacity.
  • Attends and supports internal Scrum meetings and frequent Supply Chain T-Cons with Headquarters and other subsidiaries
  • Lead Mfg. implementation for responsible ECO's.
  •  Act as a liaison to integrate new product into existing manufacturing processes
  • Resolve work order variances, and determine/track root cause. Work with Cost Accounting for month end close
  • Monitor and adjust planning parameters in SAP
  • Manage changes to KANBAN sizing due to demand fluctuation


Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Business Management and Logistics or other relevant discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a production planner in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience participating in the execution of physical inventories
  • Good time management and work organization
  • Good analytical skills
  • Mastery of good manufacturing practices
  • Independently manage challenging projects or assignments with little to no direction
  • Significant computer experience including MS Office products and ERP systems, preferably SAP and Agile
  • Target orientation with the ability to set priorities even under stressful situations
  • Intercultural sensitiveness, strong communication skills and team working attitude
  • Good IT skills (e.g. MS Office), SAP desirable
  • Good language skills in German and English, written and verbal
