Description

Joining Intuitive Surgical means joining a team dedicated to using technology to benefit patients by improving surgical efficacy and decreasing surgical invasiveness, with patient safety as our highest priority.

Primary Function of Position:

Recruitment Analytics


• Work with Finance teams and Financial Analysts to understand Long Range Modeling and immediate headcount plans to proactively create, develop and implement strategic solutions and tactical action plans to address complex staffing operations challenges
• Identify data items needed to answer those challenges and
• Work with datawarehousing teams to streamline data movement from source systems to the warehouse
• Work with Talent Acquisition leaders to develop processes to capture important data
• Serve as a key thought leader for staffing leaders and their clients regularly by assessing key performance metrics, progress tracking and facilitating issue/opportunity identification related to talent acquisition effectiveness.
• Determine optimal resource allocation and drive ongoing headcount management to ensure Staffing resources are allocated and aligned to optimize productivity and fungibility.
• Determine appropriate recruiter and source hiring metrics and track results for performance management.
Recruitment with I&D
• Leverage and build data in new innovative ways to help drive diversity & inclusion for the Recruitment Team and Intuitive at large
• Collaborate with senior leaders to drive change in how we think of inclusion and belonging to improve our employee experience and drive business results

Other Key Aspects


• Serve as lead on reviewing report requests and triaging them to the rightful owners and right long term solutions
• Leverage client-facing skills with a flexible communication style and the ability to communicate complex concepts and analytics in a structured manner. Work closely with Staffing leadership team, business executives, HR partners and Finance to ensure that the staffing organization is able to support business growth.
• Develop innovative ways to extract the data periodically and develop dashboards
• Aggregate HR management information reports and provide other ad-hoc analytics as required.
• Communicate analytical findings to non-technical audiences in a way that influences HR and business leadership on decision making.
• Develop training and support materials to inform HR and business stakeholders.
• Support HR Management in developing relevant HR metrics to ensure continuous alignment of the design of all HR programs with organizational objectives and track progress against the organization's and HR's strategies.
• Create other data analysis as needed.
• A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and other HR teams in developing the right metrics and ensuring its integrity
• Assess customer requests and determine where to find the data needed to respond to their HR-focused business questions.
• Collaborate on some data extraction, validation and analysis requirements alongside the Data Experts.
• Develop scalable Tableau Dashboards to answer the questions
• Test/QA and perform changes to existing dashboards across the board
• Query data from backend using advanced querying procedures to answer ad-hoc questions and developing process for data integrity
• Monitoring performance of the dashboards and integrity of data, and working to quickly address any issues.
• Have an understanding of inferential statistics to ensure insights are accurate
• Aggregate HR management information reports and provide other ad-hoc analytics as required.
• Work proactively and independently with HR and business stakeholders to perform analysis of relevant workforce metrics, uncover and interpret trends in data, and produce substantiated recommendations.
• Communicate analytical findings to non-technical audiences in a way that influences HR and business leadership on decision making.
• Develop training and support materials to inform HR and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

Skill/Job Requirements


o MS in Computer Science or related field with 10 years of experience or bachelors with 12+ years of experience
o Recruitment Analytics experience or workforce planning experience is mandatory
o Successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment. Previous consulting experience is a plus


o Because you interpret HR problems with business outcomes in mind, you are able to seek out and pull the right data from appropriate workforce and business sources. In conjunction with Data Experts, you will develop the processes that go beyond simple metrics and use strategic analysis to tell a vivid, engaging story in the language of the business. You will work with workforce planners to provide them with the organizational context they need to make accurate plans and models.

o A savvy communicator, you know how to coach managers and other business leaders on the proper way to frame their HR problems. You don’t settle for the first answer or explanation. Instead, you dig deep to identify the root cause of their workforce issues and provide fact-based solutions that are directly aligned with business objectives.

o You are forward-thinking -- a champion for predictive analytics -- and outside-looking -- you make it a point to stay plugged into what’s happening to competitors, customers, and the global marketplace. You are able to accurately assess risk, forecast both long and short-term outcomes, and evaluate the implications in a complex business environment.

o You have strong technical skills –
o Experience with SQL server – in writing complex SQL queries, procedures etc
o Proficiency with Python and R strongly preferred
o Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau is strongly preferred

o Willingness to learn and humble attitude is required
