The purpose of the Director, GAVE -- Emerging Technologies is to guide, develop and execute market and patient access strategies in support of pre-launch development and post-launch commercialization for emerging technologies globally as it relates to value-based care, access, coverage, reimbursement and evidence development strategies. As a key cross-functional constituent in the GAVE organization, this person will work in a global/business unit matrix with teams across R&D, Strategy, Product Development, Medical and Clinical Affairs, Global Public Affairs, and Product Marketing to optimize strategy and commercialization of emerging technologies.

Position responsibilities are to:
 Develop Intuitive business unit/product market access, value and economic strategies, globally
 Determine product differentiation, value messaging and patient journey impact studies
 Develop pre-launch development, go-to-market launch planning and market assessments.
 Conduct post-launch optimization with the network of GAVE specialists globally.
 Work with clinical and product engineering teams to determine product development insights on value based designs
 Support R&D, product development, and commercial teams to collect, interpret, and build health economic insights to inform a comprehensive market access strategic plan.
 Conduct landscape assessments of coverage, coding, and payment for to identify barriers to market adoption and potential opportunities to expand access.
 Work extensively with provider groups, HTAs, and payer organizations to inform decisions leading to optimized coverage, coding and reimbursement
 Provide guidance and leadership to R&D, Product Development, Sales/Marketing, Clinical/Medical Affairs, Global Public Affairs and corporate leadership to create cross-functional awareness of various market access strategies.
 Partner with the ISI Global HEOR Team and external research partners to generate clinical/economic evidence to determine value of targeted technologies.
 Work collaboratively with ISI Market Access, Sales/Marketing, and Global Public Affairs to develop tools and training to guide customer messaging strategies.


To adequately perform the primary roles and responsibilities of this position the individual must have:
 Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years’ experience or an advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) with 6-8+ years’ experience in: market or patient access, health economics, marketing, sales, medical affairs or market development.
 Experience in health economics, clinical selling, sales/marketing, health policy, reimbursement, payer strategies or health care consulting are highly desired.
 Broad based working knowledge of various national and regional healthcare systems, provider organizations, payers, surgeons, health technology assessment (HTA) agencies, reimbursement systems and trends influencing technology adoption.
 Extensive experience in health economics, market and patient access, reimbursement/coding, and interaction with hospital stakeholders and decision makers. Extensive experience in clinical, evidence based, reference and analytical selling tactics and field marketing are highly desired.

 Ability to influence health economic analytical models and guide creation of global and country specific value dossiers to optimize market adoption.
 Demonstrated experience developing and launching commercially accepted economic “leave” behind materials for commercial teams.
 Ability to manage relationships with key “thought leaders” (i.e., KOL), subject matter experts (SME), and medical specialty societies.
 Self-motivated, self-starter, with proven ability to work independently and create structure within ambiguity.
 Proven track record as a top performer within teams. Experience working across diverse marketplaces and in an evolving healthcare environment.
 Ability to perform in a fast-paced, results-oriented, diverse cross-functional matrix organization that focuses on a high degree of teaming, with internal and external partners globally, yet balanced with self-directed independent effort.
 Advanced computer skills, including: Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Tableau. Excellent interpersonal skills.
 Preferred location: Sunnyvale, CA, Atlanta, GA or Raleigh/Durham, NC United States.
 Must be able to travel at least 30% of time, sometimes including global travel.
