We are seeking strong high capacity individuals for our Finance and Sales Operations analyst position. The role offers opportunities to rotate into Finance and Sales Operations strategy roles.
Primary Function of Position:
The Sales Operations and Finance Analyst works closely with commercial and finance leadership to perform detailed analyses and provide strategic guidance to executives. Such responsibilities include strategic planning, budgeting, commercial strategy, sales analytics, and organizational design with significant interaction with company leaders. This role is highly analytical involving the manipulation of large data sets to gain business insights and provide input for strategic decisions. This position is built on a cycle of 6 month rotations through commercial FP&A, clinical sales operations, and capital sales operations functions.
Role and Responsibilities:
Qualifications• Serve as a business consultant for senior sales and finance leaders at Intuitive.• Provide FP&A support to senior sales and finance leaders, which includes developing and maintaining relationships with functional leaders and their staff, financial closing activities accordance with GAAP, timely preparation and presentation of financial results, variance analysis, forecasts and budgets.• Support internal goal setting and tracking.• Provide early insights regarding market trends, customer trends, and financial performance.• Generate detailed and actionable analysis that drives measurable performance improvement.• Work with executive leadership to develop board-level presentation materials.• Participate in cross functional-teams, bringing data to diagnose and improve operational issues.• Use analytical skills to verify or dispel anecdotal insights.• Build online dashboards that provide real time data on sales activities and financial results.• Support sales territory design, quota setting and customer targeting.• Develop capacity models and efficiency metrics to support resource allocation decisions.• Proactively identify and execute process improvements by leveraging best practices, standardization, and automation to scale routine activities.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics or related field• Critical thinking ability and intellectual curiosity• Ability to consistently discern strategic insights from data analysis• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to interact effectively with executive leadership and cross functional teams• Proven self-starter with ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment• Fast, high quality execution of quantitative work with attention to detail• Proficiency with Tableau, SQL and advanced MS Office suite a plus• The ability to concisely explain complex concepts
