Primary Function of Position: 

As a Paralegal within the Legal Department, you will support various legal functions, oversee and help improve internal practices, and assist other Legal Department team members.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Oversee and administer the NDA process, including answering inquiries about NDAs, supporting NDA negotiations, and guiding and educating Intuitive Surgical personnel about NDA practices.
• Assist the Commercial Legal Team with reviewing and amending various agreements, including consulting agreements.
• Manage the archiving, reporting, and searching of Intuitive Surgical NDAs and other agreements handled by the Legal Department.
• Support the implementation of, and migration of data onto, a new contract management system
• Lead or support special projects as appropriate.


Skill/Job Requirements: 

• Paralegal certificate and/or bachelor’s degree.
• 2+ years’ experience overseeing or supporting NDAs or other contracts, preferably in the medical device industry. Good knowledge of laws and regulations related to NDAs.
• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills who fosters a collaborative culture, thrives in a team environment, and interfaces effectively with other departments.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Deep interest in laws, regulations, and legal processes, especially as related to contracts and commercial transactions.
