Primary Function of Position:

This role will focus initially on the global development of key opinion leader creation, reference site readiness, regional tradeshow planning, voice of the customer value creation, and integration of Ion into Intuitive Robotic Programs. This individual will collaborate closely working in the field with the Global Endoluminal Sales and Market Development team to drive all strategies and tactics. They will be required to build deep, clinical, economic and strategic expertise throughout all core Ion stake holders; Pulmonology, Thoracic, Interventional Radiology including Economic/Strategic decision makers.

 

As a Senior Global Endoluminal Clinical Marketing Manager, you will be required to be capable of managing multiple marketing initiatives in a results-driven environment, operating successfully within a corporate and commercial matrix organization, demonstrate functional capabilities in presentation design and delivery, work cross functionally through effective project management, and have a proven track record of Key Opinion Leader and reference site development.  This individual will also be accountable for forecasting, evaluating, measuring and reporting on field based regional conference marketing campaign effectiveness and ROI.  As this role may evolve into a direct management role, current management experience is required. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Field based development and management of key opinion leaders on a global and national scale
  • Building deep clinical, economic and strategic impact expertise in Pulmonology, Thoracic Surgery, Thoracic Oncology, & Interventional Radiology and how these stakeholders impact our long term ecosystem needs
  • Close collaboration with Key Account team on development of IDN strategies, messaging and tools
  • Field based understanding and translation on initial clinical evidence generation and development of case observation sites
  • Deep understanding of the competitive landscape and sales campaigns and/or strategies being used my main competitors
  • Development of targeting campaigns, capital and clinical selling tools, and value proposition creation
  • Building of messaging and customer tools needed for the integration of Ion into our Intuitive Robotics programs
  • Partner with APAC & EU Endoluminal Market Development Managers and Product Marketing on future market segmentation, customer needs, messaging and tools needed for pre and post commercial activities
  • Working closely with the MACA team in the field on our P5 Strategy; clinical and economic translation for the patient journey, physician journey/utilization, provider value, payor, and society influence and preparation
  • Assist in executing educational and clinical activities as well as acting as a conduit for the sales team and customer on needs around specific training plans
  • Attend annual global, national and regional tradeshows and events
  • Implementation & refinement of the Ion Outcomes Analyzer and development of the Intuitive Lung Cancer Alignment meetings

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in either Sales or Marketing

  • Marketing and/or sales management experience required

  • At least 5 years of experience in medical device industry required

  • Demonstrated success in building Key opinion leaders, clinical education programs and go-to- marketing campaigns

  • Strong knowledge of MIS technology adoption and integrated OR equipment is highly preferred

  • Experience with surgical procedures including laparoscopy and endoscopy is highly preferred

  • Basic understanding of networking, OR connectivity, and using digital insights is also preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with examples of clear, market driven, market requirements

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting to Senior Management

  • Excellent teamwork skills with proven ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines and the ability to influence cross-functional teams with and without formal authority.

  • Ability to set and meet goals based on department and corporate objectives

  • Proven agility with the ability to anticipate and overcome roadblocks to success

  • Passionate about attention to detail and quality of work good presentation skills

  • 60% travel in the first year

  • Bachelor’s degree is required. Master is preferred
