Primary Function of Position:

The Product Manager will be a part of the team responsible for managing the entire product lifecycle of a new robotic endoluminal system and associated instruments and accessories. This includes gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product roadmap, and working closely with clinical development engineering and new product development to deliver the product to the marketplace. The Product Manager will also identify and drive post-launch product improvements and provide sustaining support for product field issues. The role includes providing direct product-level support to the sales team and physicians to ensure successful adoption.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing and updating market requirements and product requirements with input from customers, product marketing, sales, clinical development engineering and new product development.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative market research to understand customer unmet needs and inform product roadmap and feature development.
• Maintain forecast for procedures, systems and accessories by geography. Develops additional geographic forecasts as needed.
• Define system and I&A BOM configurations. Identify and define kits as needed.
• Monitor, prioritize and drive resolution of product quality issues. Work on cross-functional teams to resolve product issues and critical customer issues.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of lung cancer diagnosis and treatment modalities, trends, and competitive dynamics to inform product refinement and development.
• Manage cross functional product rollout team; Identify and track all product launch readiness tasks and conduct Phase Rollout Meetings.
• Develop set of desired future claims and plans to develop supporting evidence.
• Build and maintain relationships with physician development partners through site-visits, labs and customer feedback events to inform development priorities.
• Provide product related support to sales, physicians and staff. Assist with product training for sales, physicians and staff.
• Proactively communicate with senior management on the product development status and product quality issues.
• Track competitive products and emerging technology. Identify complementary technology and potential industry relationships.
• Provide support for tradeshows and on-site sales and marketing events, conducting product demonstrations and engage with key customers.
Qualifications

Core Competencies, Skills and Experience Requirements:

• Must be a highly passionate individual that notices and cares about design details and physician experience with medical technology
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Marketing Manager, Management Consultant, Engineer, or Designer with a history of defining, developing and launching excellent products.
• Experience in bronchoscopy, interventional pulmonology and lung cancer diagnostic and therapeutic space strongly preferred.
• Experience defining and managing market and product requirements for hardware or software products is preferred.
• BS degree in Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or demonstrated experience of bringing highly engineered products to market is highly preferred.
• MBA highly preferred.
• Strong hands-on data manipulation and analysis skills. Demonstrated ability to use data to develop market and product insights and drive decision making.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting to senior management and customers.
• Self-starter with ability to take a leadership role in an unstructured environment.
• Excellent teamwork skills with proven ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines and ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
• Must be well versed in MS Office Suite.
• Ability to set and meet goals based on department and corporate objectives.
• Ability to work in surgical labs and operating rooms is required.
• Ability to travel 30%. Some international travel may be required.
