Position’s Objective & Summary:


The purpose of the Market Access Manager – Hospital Economics is to develop and execute applied health economic “value creation & demonstration” strategies in support of healthcare providers across hospitals, IDN system, and surgeon/physician,   

The role will be a key constituent on a broad based French Commercial Excellence Team (i.e., Sales Management, Clinical and Capital Marketing, Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR), Clinical Affairs, Government and Public Affairs and Sales Operations to provide a multi-disciplinary consultative selling approach to influential stakeholders and economic decision makers at hospitals, IDNs and other commercial channels in support of the Sales teams.

This position will work with various hospital provider/IDN systems and surgeons, to demonstrate the applied clinical/economic value of ISI technologies. This will be achieved via creating and disseminating clinical/economic materials, predictive and utility modeling, market archetype segmentation strategies and strategic industry insights to influence and educate clinical/economic understanding among existing and potential hospital customers.  This position will be a full business partner to various ISI internal global/region/country cross-functional leaders across the Commercial, Clinical and Governmental Affairs Groups.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Sales teams through patient, hospital, C-level and physician provider healthcare economic insights and solutions.

  2. Create in collaboration with the ISI HEOR Team evidence on ISI products and then lead efforts to disseminate clinical/economic evidence and insights via quantifying the impact on the “total economic and clinical value” of ISI technology to existing and future economic decision makers.

  3. Perform evidence (clinical & economic) based “Quantify The Impact” (QTI), customer alignment meetings, and field based customer analytical analyses with hospitals, IDN systems, surgeons and health technology assessment (HTA) organizations. 

  4. Work and implement the trainings related to the deployment of the QTI solution through the sales force.

  5. Work specifically with national and regional hospital claims data and other specific “big-data” databases analyses; working in concert with Global HEOR.

  6. Engineer specific health economic market assessments to appropriately identify hospital stakeholder and barriers, trends, customer unmet need, strategic insight, strategic imperatives, stakeholder prioritization, market segmentation, targeting, messaging and positioning. 

  7. Provide regular voice-of-customer (VOC) feedback on clinical and economic challenges being faced by l hospital stakeholders and generate ideas on how our products can serve as a solution to these issues. 

  8. Support, as needed, the reimbursement strategy developed and led by Market Access Director and Government/Public Affairs.

  9. Collaborate, interact and report in close partnership with the Market Access Director Western Europe and the Market Access Managers Hospital Economics of Western Europe..


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years’ experience or an advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate)
  • 6-8+ years’ experience in :  health economics, marketing, sales, market development, health care consulting.
  • Healthcare medical device, pharma or hospital/health system/IDN industry experience in France is required. 
  • Broad based experiences and working knowledge of French healthcare system and hospital providers, surgeons, technology assessment agencies, reimbursement system and trends impacting technology and adoption.

  • Extensive experience in health economics, market and patient access, and interaction with hospital stakeholders and decision makers

  • Experience and comfort in presenting and defending evidence with key clinical and economic decision makers in meetings.

  • Experiences in clinical, evidence based desired.   

  • Manage health economic “thought leaders” (i.e., KOL) and key subject matter expert (SME) relationships through interactions with hospitals, surgeons and agencies to increase economic evidence.

  • Strong reporting, project management, analytical and prioritization skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Advanced computer skills, including:  Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Tableau.

  • Geographically located in France.   

  • Languages: fluent in English.

  • Travel 50% of the time
