This positions reports to VP, Product Security & Network Operations and responsible for management of all aspects of product and development infrastructure, operations support services, engineering and development team support, systems and infrastructure maintenance, capacity planning and reporting, and other areas, as required.

The ideal candidate for the position of Sr. Manager, Technical Operations will have proven experience working designing, building, securing, and operating public and private cloud infrastructure, and developing highly effective operations teams. This position requires a candidate with strong technical and interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the business and peer Engineering teams to deliver high quality solutions that ensure patient safety.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Drive the creation and maintenance of best practice standards for technical operations
• Provide direct management oversight to teams of DevOps, NetOps, Site Reliability, and Networking professionals
• Drive infrastructure automation
• Manage and maintain supplier, vendor, and service provider SLAs and relationships
• Own and maintain the technical roadmap for product and related infrastructure
• Provide architectural oversight and support for distributed datacenter and cloud computing environments
• Ensure KPIs and metrics appropriate to measure infrastructure and product(s) health are produced, reviewed and understood (SLAs, Availability, performance metrics, NPM, etc.)
• Develop policies and SOP contributing to efficient operations
• Develop a high performing build & run teams that operate with a culture of business and customer centricity
• Manage operational assignments and cyclical operational responsibilities for systems, networking, and security functions
• Liaise with Regulatory Affairs, Product Security, QA, and Engineering teams to ensure infrastructure design operational objectives meet stringent security, privacy, and regulatory guidelines
• Other duties as assigned


Competency Requirements: In order to adequately perform the responsibilities of this position the individual must possess:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Leadership role building and managing high performing teams
• Minimum 10 years in a technical role within engineering, networking, systems, and/or technical operations
• Minimum 3 years of experience within a medical device environment highly desirable
• BS/BA required; MS highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks or projects to align with the strategic objectives and with business goals
• Thorough understanding of operational support processes, excellent business acumen and ability to direct team in dissecting and diagnosing complex problems
• Strong knowledge of networks and networking technologies, Windows & Linux OS, Relational SQL databases, and cloud/hybrid-cloud environments required
• DevOps management and automation Experience required
• Experience with reporting and dashboard tools required
• Proven success working across organizational and geographic boundaries Provide technical leadership, mentoring and coaching for all staff and foster a culture of accountability, innovation and team building
• Excellent judgment in the presence of competing priorities and incomplete data; proven ability to make difficult decisions with positive outcomes
• Travel: <10%
