Position’s Objective & Summary:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support and financial oversight to the functional leaders of the US Commercial organization, as they make important strategic and tactical decisions. Such responsibilities will include budgeting, forecasting and actuals analysis for operational expenses.
The Financial Analyst will be involved in detailed business modeling, for both short term (monthly forecast) and long term (strategic planning). This is a highly analytical role involving the manipulation of large data sets, a keen understanding of financial concepts, and the ability to communicate and develop meaningful work relationships with multiple executive business partners.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Answer broad questions from senior leadership teams using data and visualizations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with functional leaders and local management team.
• Manage the preparation and coordination of detailed departmental budgets and monthly forecasts.
• Ensure spending remains within budget: review and approve purchase requests; identify risks and opportunities; agree on trade-offs to respect budget commitments.
• Actively own and create efficiencies in the Month End close process.
• Prepare monthly reporting package to Executive management.
• Help simplify and streamline existing processes, while maximizing effectiveness.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial report or analysis.
• Identify and drive implementation of revenue generating activities and process improvement projects.
• Use analytical skills to verify or dispel anecdotal insights.
• Work with Executive leadership to develop board-level presentation materials.
Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
• Desire to work in a fast paced and complex team environment.
• Quick learner and ability to drive successful results with limited supervision.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel as well as experience in building models to solve complex financial and operational issues.
• Experience with financial & reporting systems. Knowledge of SAP, Hyperion, SQL and Tableau are a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Superb analytical skills with a focus on solving complex financial issues.
• BS, MS, or MBA in Accounting, Finance or related degree.
