Primary Function of Position:

Intuitive’s Treasury Department is seeking a Payroll Supervisor. The Supervisor will be responsible for supervision of payroll team members and ensure timely, accurate, and proper execution of various payroll activities using ADP Vantage. The Payroll Supervisor will be the subject matter expert and the escalation point to resolve issues.

Job Duties: 

• Supervise a payroll department of 2-3 employees; although a supervisory position, hands on payroll processing will be required.
• Review and audit computed wages and deductions, data imported from time and attendance systems, commission and bonus payments, and related payroll activity to insure timely and accurate payroll processing of semi-monthly cycles. Manage correction of errors to ensure accurate payroll of hours worked and pay owed.
• Review and audit stock runs and insure all activity is submitted in a timely manner to avoid IRS penalties and fines.
• Oversee the processing and maintenance of annual W-2's, taxable fringe benefit input, 401(k) compliance and adjustment runs; develop reports to summarize this data
• Act as liaison with outside agencies in regards to non-standard garnishments and maintain all information pertaining to such garnishments
• Research and explain payroll policies and procedures
• Provide input and assistance for payroll projects at the request of management, agencies or auditors
• Continuously look for improvements in operational processes and designs and implement those initiatives.
• Lead and coach/mentor team through development processes
• Other payroll related duties and reporting

Education and Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required; four year undergraduate degree preferred.
• Five (5) to eight (8) years of payroll experience in a fast paced, high volume, multi-entity organization required.
• Prior payroll supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of labor practices pertaining to payday law, benefits, payroll and employee taxation, payroll accounting, and employment documentation
• Knowledge of local and occupational tax withholding and reports requirements.
• Proficient using ADP Vantage for payroll and Workforce for time keeping. Knowledge of Oracle HCM preferred.
• Proficient in MS Excel including advanced formulas functions (Vlookups, Pivot tables, IF statements) and MS Word
• Demonstrate ability to learn other application programs as needed
• Knowledge of SOX controls
• Strong ability to maintain confidentiality to payroll and other employee personal information
• Excellent problem solving skills, analytical mindset with good judgement and high level of attention to details and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize workload of self and team members, multi-task, meet all deadlines, and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrate issue management problem solving skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Identify and engage service solutions within and outside the payroll department.
• Communicate to a wide audience on the technical applications of payroll as applied to business and accounting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; appropriately communicates with all levels of customers within the organization.
