Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

Achieve along with a functional team, performance goals for Production Area. The goals will include Safety Incidents, Absenteeism, Turnover, PL, DN, NCR, Scrap, Prod Plan, Efficiency, Hour’s accuracy, Down time.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Perform Interviews, Hire, Onboarding (Provide Expectations) and train, reward, recognition and discipline, manage conflicts on direct reports.
  • Responsible for discipline enforcement and follow up with low performance Supervisors.
  • Ensure completion of All training ISU related for associates under his supervision.
  • Train, develop, enforce adherence to the applicable DOPs and SOPs of the EHS System, Quality System, as well as the Manufacturing Guidelines.
  • Follow up employees with coaching and provide feedback based in goals and expectations when is required.
  • Assign and manage workload to monitor their employee’s development plan.
  • Write and conduct formal annual performance reviews & monthly One:One process.
  • Drive our Culture Strategy by fostering our mission, founding principles, individual and leadership expectations. Consolidate X survey action plan for own area.
  • Own Production Metrics and coordinate actions to ensure KPI Goals (EHS Incidents / Absenteeism/ Turnover/ NCR/ PL/ DN/ LFPY/ Scrap/ Prod Plan/ Efficiency/ Mat Usage) Tier 2
  • Generate Production Reports.
  • Update and Revise Manufacturing Process Instructions to ensure that MPIs are accurate and complete.
  • Review, approve ECO to determine impact on manufacturing.
  • Support process validations & Final Manufacturing Reviews as required.
  • Work closely with corporate engineering on production line transfers or improvements.
  • Address line support issues, document, report and escalate any problems or concerns Tier 2
  • Work closely with All Support departments to resolve daily production issues.
  • Support Layered Audits & CAPA Action Plan as required.
  • Ensure adherence to Intuitive Production System Initiatives (Std Work, Tiers, VSM, 6S, CI Program)
  • Lead or support various Lean Manufacturing initiatives that involve a Mfg. based team thru Corporate Projects, Project Management, Kaizen, Green Belts or Rapid problem-solving events.
  • Review and disposition discrepant material.  Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrences. Implement project to improve Material Usage / reduce Scrap.
  • Ensure supervisors complete payroll activities on time.
  • Assist Budget Spending process, control budget expense and execution.
  • Support purchase requisitions needs.
  • Support SIOP process to understand and provide input to ensure future prod plan vs capacity.
  • Participate in Area Goal Deployment Process.

Qualifications

Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

  • Education and/or Experience:  Bachelor's degree on related fields.
  • External Candidate 5 years of either supervisor and/or engineering experience.  Experience in the medical device industry is preferred, specifically in high-volume manufacturing area.
  • Knowledge or experience in Manufacturing Process.
  • Strong working Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (Lean Expert -GB- highly recommended).
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers to perform daily work.  Familiar with the Microsoft Office suite of programs and MRP systems, SAP and Agile experience preferred.
  • Superb communication skills, including written and verbal instruction.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Ability to track performance and provide effective feedback.
  • The ideal candidate will have a love for a fast-paced and multi-focused work environment.
