Job Description
Primary Function of Position:
The Corporate Travel, Meetings & Events Manager role will serve as a regional leader overseeing the strategy, execution, and continuous optimization of Intuitive’s corporate travel, meetings & events across EMEA. This role plays a critical part in advancing Intuitive’s mission of advancing minimally invasive care by delivering innovative, scalable, and compliant programs that enhance employee experiences, support business objectives, and reflect Intuitive’s culture of excellence.
The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of progressive experience in global travel and strategic meetings management, with a proven ability to drive operational efficiency, vendor performance, and policy alignment across diverse markets.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a multi-year strategy for corporate travel and events in EMEA aligned with global business goals.
- Translate business needs into scalable programs that prioritize experience, cost control, risk mitigation, and brand alignment.
- Continuously assess industry trends, regulatory changes, and travel technology innovations to inform strategy.
- Lead high-value vendor relationships including TMCs, venue partners, and event service providers to ensure service excellence and contractual compliance.
- Negotiate regional and global supplier agreements, including preferred hotel programs and air/car partnerships.
- Collaborate with Procurement and Legal teams on vendor evaluation, RFPs, and contracting.
- Champion a traveler-first approach by identifying friction points and deploying solutions that enhance user satisfaction and compliance.
- Partner with HR, Security, and Finance to uphold duty of care and travel risk protocols.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex or high-impact travel and event scenarios.
- Advance the Strategic Meetings Management Program (SMMP) to support internal training, leadership summits, field events, and high-visibility programs.
- Oversee end-to-end planning, logistics, compliance, and brand execution across all events.
- Implement and optimize use of meeting technology platforms (e.g., CVENT, SAP Concur, Conferma).
- Own reporting and analytics for travel and events KPIs, budget forecasting, and ROI analysis.
- Use dashboards and data insights to identify program gaps, drive cost avoidance, and influence business decisions.
- Present performance updates to senior leadership and global stakeholders.
- Collaborate with EMEA business units, Global Travel & Events, and functional partners to ensure alignment, policy consistency, and best practice sharing.
- Act as a change agent for new processes, tools, and policy updates across the region.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in tourism, travel, hospitality management, event planning or related field
- Certifications in corporate meetings or events (e.g. CMM, CMP, GBTA certifications)
- Proficiency in travel management and payment tools (e.g. SAPConcur, American Express, AirPlus, Conferma, CVENT)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in corporate travel, meetings, or global event management roles
- Demonstrated success managing regional or global TMC relationships, sourcing vendors, and negotiating high-value contracts
- Proven experience designing and executing corporate meetings and events of varying scale and complexity
- Deep understanding of SMMP principles, event tech platforms, and EMEA regulatory environments
- Strong analytical and financial acumen with experience in budget oversight, spend optimization, and reporting
- Effective communicator with a high degree of professional presence, influence, and stakeholder engagement
- Fluent in English; German or French highly preferred
