Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

This key senior management position will provide strategic guidance for all global transportation systems, instruments, and service parts. This includes helping the end-to-end development of network strategy, system requirements, process ownership, and organizational alignment. Effectively achieve results through others and manage a wide range of individuals across multiple disciplines. Establish global transportation strategies to ensure service levels are met, customer satisfaction expectations are exceeded, and value proposition is delivered. Provide global strategic guidance to help forecasted sales, long range growth solutions, and cost containment initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee $100M+ inbound and outbound transportation of product through our manufacturing, sterilization, and distribution networks.
  • Drive the implementation and accelerated growth of a world class service through the deployment of service centered networks.
  • Provide strategy, research, and roadmap building.
  • Included areas like systems, service parts, IAE, and inbound for the US and OUS business and regions.
  • Develop and deliver freight costs targets through continuous improvement, contract management, and network management.
  • Manage and measure service initiatives that are impacted by transportation from inbound deliveries to file mile deliveries.
  • Drive positive change.
  • Implementation and management of TMS.
  • Ensure the organizational structure, technical capability, business systems, and processes exist to achieve the current and future goals of the operation.
  • Define priority and plan of implementation, including insource or outsource opportunities.
  • Run network modeling, provide opportunities, and guidance on delivery and inbound options.
  • Help the transitioning to a multi-echelon footprint.
  • International expansion, acquisitions / divestitures, and manufacturing / partner changes are key focuses.
  • With the future in mind, create and organizational team with functional and leadership capabilities, of leadership and team building initiatives.
  • Attract, retain, and motivate a high-performance organization capable of driving excellence.
  • Evaluate and incorporate new products, operational changes, and acquisitions seamlessly into the business.
  • Create an agile team that can manage the current business while incorporating growth and changes in the business.
  • Cultivate a healthy work environment aligned with company culture and values.
  • Effectively partner with internal departments: RA/QA, Instruments, Accessories & Endoscopes, Systems & Imaging, Endoluminal, Finance, Contracts, Field Service, Compliance and Commercial teams to improve service and drive results on various corporate initiatives

Qualifications

Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

  • A minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of demonstrated experience leading logistics organizations through significant changes in network, organization, and system changes.
  • 7+ years as a manager or above level.
  • Track record of managing $50M+ operational budgeted and large organizations.
  • Solid negotiation skills.
  • Incorporated TMS or similar systems into operations.
  • A history of expanding and transforming transportation to meet the needs of the business.
  • Dynamic business acumen in global logistics, transportation, and 3PL management.

Nice to Have:

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • APICS Certifications preferred.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt a plus.
  • Exceptional data-backed acumen and problem solving skills.
  • Working in complex distribution networks, including final mile and ecommerce a plus.
  • Proven track record of increased responsibilities throughout the career profile.
  • Proactively works change and improvement with other functions.
  • Effectively manages through exceptional communication skills, analytics, and accountability.
  • Will be able to effectively drive strategy, recognize and grasp operational gaps and opportunities.
  • Drive (CI) Continuous Improvement and change management.
  • Works with Voice of the Customer and Business in mind.
  • Must have a demonstrated record in building an organization, with a track record of recruiting, motivating, and developing top talent.
  • Must be able to grow team through significant change.
  • Solid expertise of medical device compliance requirements.
  • Cross industry experience in cutting edge logistics fueled companies a plus.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target salary ranges are listed.

Base Salary Range Region 1: $193,100 USD - $289,700 USD
Base Salary Range Region 2: $164,200 USD - $246,200 USD
Shift: Day
Travel: 25% of the time
Workplace Type: Set Schedule - This job will be onsite weekly, the percentage of onsite work will be defined by the leader.
