Job Description
Primary Function of Position:
The Financial Analyst 2 in our Single-port (SP) business unit plays a critical role in achieving our overall goal of delivering best-in-class business partner assistance and data insights. The Company’s operations have been growing significantly over the past several years, along with the product pipeline and need for expanded quantitative examination.
The FP&A team provides the business unit with critical information and review to enable our business partners to allocate company resources in the most effective manner possible. The members of the team are closely integrated in our business partners’ operations as a way to ensure they can provide the most valuable insights possible. This is therefore a highly visible role that interacts with executive management as part of setting budgets, forecasting, reporting on actuals and the many interesting business related projects we are working on.

This role will be accountable for providing economic recommendation assistances, data analysis, expense management, and financial planning help for the SP Business unit.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary business partner to the SP process engineering organization
- Develop and maintain accurate cost center budgets, forecasts, and month-end reporting
- Partner with engineering managers to develop comprehensive cost reduction roadmaps for SP systems and instruments & accessories. Facilitate period reviews and reporting of progress to plan, including modeling short-term and long-term P&L impact
- Create economic valuation and comparison models to help back key business decisions
- Design & deliver insightful reporting packages and dashboards to influence key business decisions and strategies
- Proactively identify and execute continual process improvements by leveraging best practices, standardization, and automation to scale the business
- Ensure monthly financial results are stated accurately and in accordance with GAAP
Qualifications
Skill/Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant finance or accounting experience involving budgeting, forecasting, data insights, and project management
- Excellent leadership, relational, and communication skills, with the ability to resolve conflict, drive consensus, and reach conclusions
- Intellectually curious and self-motivated
- Quick learner and ability to drive successful results with limited supervision
- Fast, high quality execution of quantitative work with attention to detail
- Proven track record of working well in a team-based environment
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including experience building financial models involving complex formulas and large data sets
- This role requires working onsite in our Sunnyvale office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday every week
Required Education and Training
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics related discipline
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with systems such as SAP (ERP), Hyperion, Anaplan and Tableau is preferred
