Job Description

Primary Function of Position

Our People Experience team is passionate about creating a workplace where employees are informed, engaged, and inspired to have a positive impact on each other, our company, and the world.

We’re seeking a creative and proactive communications expert who can craft and implement strategic, high-impact internal communications programs that resonate across our global engineering teams. The ideal candidate is also an exceptional storyteller with the ability to elevate visibility into key commercial and customer narratives. You will serve as both a strategist and a hands-on executor, working closely with senior executives to influence, advise, and lead them in developing communications strategies that engage and inspire employees globally.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of your strategies, managing all stages of execution—whether it’s writing a compelling message, delivering a presentation, or coordinating an impactful event. You are a master at connecting the dots, balancing high-level strategy with flawless tactical execution. Your passion for storytelling, combined with your energy and drive, will help advance our mission in a complex, fast-paced technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic communications planning: Design and implement internal communications strategies that support our engineering, commercial (sales), and product support teams globally, ensuring alignment with our broader organizational goals.
  • Executive collaboration: Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, gaining their trust and buy-in to develop and execute communications plans that drive engagement across diverse employee groups.
  • Project management: Lead cross-functional teams and manage all aspects of communications projects, from detailed planning to execution and measurement, ensuring timely delivery and impactful outcomes.
  • Content creation and storytelling: Craft compelling written, visual, and multimedia content, from executive messaging to program narratives, organizational announcements, employee features, and customer stories, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
  • Event planning and execution: Lead internal events, meetings, and presentations with meticulous planning and execution, managing agendas, coordinating logistics, and delivering effective communications.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner closely with teams across marketing, public affairs, employer branding, and more to ensure cohesive communication strategies that support shared business objectives.
  • Measurement and impact: Continuously measure the effectiveness of communications strategies, using data-driven insights to refine approaches and demonstrate impact on business goals.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A minimum of 12 years in employee communications, executive communications, corporate communications, or related fields, with experience managing teams and/or agencies/contractors.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing global communication strategies.
  • Extensive experience working with executives to craft messaging, coach on delivery, and influence key decisions.
  • Excellent project management ability to ensure strategies are executed with precision, from initiation to content creation to measurement; lead and collaborate on cross-functional projects, often with international stakeholders across time zones.
  • Expert level written, verbal, presentation, and storytelling skills; keen attention to detail.
  • Skilled at simplifying complex topics, navigating ambiguity, and finding creative solutions using your organizational influence.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, marketing, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • *This position requires on-site work in our Sunnyvale, CA offices a few days a week, and as needed.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target salary ranges are listed.

Base Salary Range Region 1: $164,000 USD - $236,000 USD
Base Salary Range Region 2: $139,400 USD - $200,600 USD
Shift: Day
Travel: 10% of the time
Workplace Type: Set Schedule - This job will be onsite weekly, the percentage of onsite work will be defined by the leader.
