Job Description

Primary Function of Position 

The Director of IT Business Applications – Manufacturing will play a pivotal role in overseeing the IT systems that support manufacturing operations. This individual will lead and manage both internal and external teams, ensuring the smooth operation and evolution of critical business applications. The Director will also be responsible for aligning IT initiatives with business goals, driving innovation, and ensuring successful project delivery.

Essential Job Duties 

  • Develop and guide the IT strategy and roadmap for manufacturing business functions.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to create and implement strategic roadmaps that align with business priorities.
  • Serve as a key partner to architects and business process owners to adopt industry best practices.
  • Partner with business and finance teams to develop budgets, ROI assessments, and success metrics to prioritize initiatives.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and achieve success metrics.
  • Align cross-functional IT and business teams to drive seamless execution.
  • Work closely with peers in IT, including Infrastructure, information Security, Development, Integration, and the Project Management Office, to ensure cohesive project delivery.
  • Foster relationships with service providers, managing Statements of Work (SOWs), resource allocation, delivery timelines, and team backfill management.
  • Oversee the adherence to change management processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal controls.
  • Prepare and present leadership with metrics and insights on the health and performance of IT operations.
  • Lead recruitment, team building, and development initiatives to cultivate a high-performing, global, multicultural team.
  • Manage relationships with external service providers, ensuring high standards of performance and addressing issues like attrition and backfilling as necessary.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide programs.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and implementing strategic metrics and scorecards.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing business processes.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, particularly in modules such as PP (Production Planning), PPDS (Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling), and SAP ME (Manufacturing Execution).
  • Experience working with IT service providers and building high-performing teams.
  • Proven ability to manage global, multicultural teams.
  • Strong people management, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
     

Required Education and Training 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.

  • Experience working in a validated environment.
  • APICS Certification

Base Salary Range Region 1: $204,000 USD - $306,000 USD
Base Salary Range Region 2: $173,400 USD - $260,200 USD

Travel: 10% of the time
