Job Description

Opportunity:

The Senior Analyst, Corporate Accounting is a highly visible position that plays a critical role in achieving our overall objective of delivering best-in-class financial reporting and building a best-in-class finance department. The Senior Analyst, Corporate Accounting drives our close process with our domestic and international teams and supports developing and executing long-term plans for how to take our accounting operations to the next level. 

The Company’s operations have grown significantly over the years, and with it, the level of complexity our accounting organization is facing. This role offers a great opportunity to work closely with a wide range of the Company’s domestic and international accounting, FP&A, and tax groups to implement the infrastructure needed to effectively and efficiently scale the Company’s systems and financial reporting processes.

Role and Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of the Sr. Analyst, Corporate Accounting (Central Corporate Accounting Processes) include:

  • Understand the company’s operating model and objectives and how they translate into the need for efficient, standardized, scalable business processes, organizational structures, and operations. Initial focus on end-to-end intercompany/consolidation process
  • Analyze existing processes, including documentation of existing and future flows. Define and recommend roadmap for process improvement initiatives
  • Lead the design and execution of “to-be” processes; work with IT and Subject Matter Experts to collect, define and implement and re-design core processes – define and align business requirements with other business users.  Lead testing scope, review results of user acceptance testing, and create implementation plan
  • Draft policies, guidelines, desktop procedures, and work instructions to support successful implementation of new projects or enhancements
  • Lead and present project updates to management and cross-functional teams to enable project alignment
  • Responsible for the global consolidation and reporting processes; coordinate with domestic and international accounting/finance teams to resolve any discrepancies at month-end closing
  • Identify areas for improvement on internal processes and controls to develop efficiencies within consolidation and other processes
  • Support reviewing and updating accounting methodologies utilized in the accounting processes such as allocations, master data, etc.
  • Assist the Corporate Accounting Team and other accounting and finance departments in implementing strong processes, systems, and procedures to drive efficiencies and high-quality financial reporting
  • Support developing worldwide cohesive and standardized accounting processes and drafting accounting manuals
  • Responsible for, together with the Corporate Accounting department, ensuring that we meet our month-end/quarter-end close responsibilities and deadlines
  • Support internal and external audit requests and SOX testing requests timely and accurately
  • Interface with external auditors of the foreign subsidiaries for statutory audit and other local requirements and assist with periodic internal and external audit requests
  • Assist in the identification of automation opportunities across the Corporate Accounting department and develop solutions using various automation tools such as RPA, excel-automation, SQL, etc.

Qualifications

Skill/Job Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to drive for resolution
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Minimum 4+ years of public accounting and/or industry experience in related fields (experience in Corporate Accounting in large multi-national companies is a plus)
  • Big 4 public accounting experience is a plus
  • CPA is a plus
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting theory
  • Detail-oriented, organized, motivated and able to function in a fast-paced environment, especially during quarter-end reporting periods
  • Knowledge of SAP, Hyperion, and EDW is preferred
  • Strong fundamental process knowledge (such as quote-to-cash, procure-to pay) and related internal controls
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as RPA, excel-automation, SQL, etc. is a plus

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target salary ranges are listed.

Base Salary Range Region 1: $103,300 - $148,700
Base Salary Range Region 2: $87,800 - $126,400

Workplace Type: Set Schedule - This job will be onsite weekly, the percentage of onsite work will be defined by the leader.
