Job Description
Primary Function of Position:
The Genesis OR Consultant provides onsite & remote consulting to implement da Vinci Surgery best practices in standardization, efficiency, staff training, cost containment, and block scheduling. They work with hospital leadership and Intuitive teams to ensure customers can launch, optimize, and sustain successful robotic surgery programs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop expertise in Intuitive technology, applications, and proper instrument handling
- Manage assigned territory and conduct Genesis OR Consultant initiatives with strategic customers
- Collaborate with customers and Intuitive teams to formulate customized solutions based on hospital needs and goals
- Deliver in-person and remote consulting services to improve standardization, efficiency, staff training, cost containment, and block scheduling
- Analyze data and prepare reports for customer engagements
- Support Genesis and Intuitive events and conferences, both in-person and virtual
- Participate in new product training and launches
- Report customer complaints to appropriate internal parties
- Support the evaluation and selection of potential new reference centers
- Promote collaboration with Genesis and cross-functional teams to achieve implementation goals
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- B.S./B.A. degree preferred or equivalent clinical/medical degree or experience
- 5+ years of documented professional experience in healthcare/hospital management, either in BTB sales capacity or management role within hospital
- Experience in an Operating Room and/or Sterile Processing Department environment
- Proven ability to work effectively and drive results as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to present to varying group sizes
- Ability to excel in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- Willingness to be flexible with work hours
- Business acumen – ability to function in an executive business environment and understand the business needs of the OR
- Communication – ability to deliver consistent and effective communication across organizational levels
- Lean, Six Sigma or Change Management skills are of advantage
- Advanced MS office (or equivalent) skills, project management skills, proven record of leading complex customer facing projects on OR efficiency, productivity, or cost containment
Due to legal requirements, we are obligated to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is 39298 EUR gross per year for 14 salaries. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market rates and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
